Creative Ways ABDL’s Get Diapers Part 1

Many Adult Babies and Diaper Lovers have stories of creative and unusual ways of getting diapers. We start a new series on this topic with a story involving a birthday sleepover and a scavenger hunt which resulted in the teeniest diaper Toddy ever saw. Hey! It’s an ABDL life.

Strange, Unusual, and Creative Ways To Get Diapers

I was maybe 10 years old at the time. All of us neighborhood kids were celebrating my best friend’s birthday and having a wonderful time at his party. Then his mom announced the next activity on the agenda: A scavenger hunt! We were divided up into teams and sent out in the neighborhood with a list of weird items we had to collect in order to win.

The list that my group had included my very favorite thing: A diaper. And I got it! But what happened when the nice lady brought it to me at the door is not what I had expected. Make sure you don’t miss this story in the first installment of this new ABDLcast series.

QUESTION: What strange, unusual, or creative ways have you ended up with diapers? Let us know in the comments.

Story Time And Diaper Time Make For A Good Time

We are still making our way through Story Land with Bugs Bunny. This episode finds us meeting a very crazy duck masquerading as a great detective who had something stolen from right under his nose, er, beak.

And Toddy gives some quick thoughts on the NorthShore Supreme Lite diaper. How does it compare to his beloved original NorthShore Supreme? Listen to this episode to find out.

The ABDLcast Polls Are Open

Starting this episode we – when the occasion arises – are going to include audience polls in the show blog posts. Some will be a simple multiple choice vote. Others, such as this one will require your individual answers. This question comes from @LovesPampers on Twitter:

Regarding your first time buying diapers, please answer the following

  • What age were you?
  • What did you do when you got home with that first pack?

Remember: keep your answer clean. These questions could potentially spark some wonderful conversation among ABDL folk. Please give us your answers in the comments.

ABDL Artist Wanted

We are looking for listeners to start submitting artwork for use in individual episodes of the ABDLcast. These will be included in the show note blog posts for each podcast we release. Use crayons and paper; markers and construction paper; digital drawing programs. Anything will do. Just make it clean, cute, fun, and kid-like. We’ll give you credit, of course. More information can be heard on this episode of the ABDLcast.

Are Plushies An Adult Baby’s Favorite Thing Other Than Diapers?

We surveyed ABDL’s about the importance of their plashies and were amazed by the response. Adult Baby’s seem to overwhelmingly love their soft and cuddly stuffed friends. Listen to this episode of the ABDLcast to hear just how much.

My Favorite Things

This image shows vintage plushies and stuffed animals for ABDL's and Adult Babies. As we prepared for this show that old Sound Of Music tune kept going through my head, but I changed it to “Diapers, and plushies, and a nice, soft blankie…” I know it doesn’t rhyme too well, but I can make it work just fine :)

This topic has been brewing for quiet a while, and we’ve had many requests to talk about it on the show. We went to the ABDL subreddit on as well as the Daily Diapers forum and posed a series of questions to get your thoughts. They were as follows:

  • Do you have any plushies?
  • Tell us about your favorite one
  • Why are they important to you?
  • What do you do with your plushie?
  • Is there something other than plushies that you just have to have?

Diapers And Plushies Are Fun

The answers were awesome! You simply must click the links above and read all of them to get an even fuller understanding of how Adult Baby’s (I’m assuming most of the responses were from those identifying more heavily on the AB side of the ABDL spectrum) feel about their plushies. But some of the highlights include:

My favorite is Dr. Quackers. My wife got him for me for the car ride home from the emergency room after I broke my ankle last winter. He’s since become a permanent member of the bed-sitters. – Mattykinss via reddit

I think that my plushies make me feel really small and secure when I crawl into my bed. I LOVE soft things… – Dapperkun via reddit

[W]hen you hold a plushie, you’re holding a piece of yourself. The piece of yourself that needs to be held. – WakkoWannaBe via DailyDiapers

I love plushies because they’re soft and cuddly and that’s how I indulge my AB side a bit.  – Cute_Kitten via DailyDiapers

QUESTIONS: What items do you need to help you feel little? Are they the things that you had when you were little, or did you develop an affinity later in life?

What Diaper Is That

We also give an update on what diapers Toddy has been wearing – including a diaper that has had tape issues 3 times in a row (!!), and the diaper to beat: the Dry 24/7. Plus a ton of listener feedback, updates, fun, and of course Story Time! All that and much more on this episode of the ABDLcast – a podcast for adults who just like diapers :)

Talking About Diapers And ABDL

In this giant episode of the ABDLcast we talk about how hard it is to talk about diapers with our significant others, what year is it in your “little space,” and a bunch of listener feedback.

What Decade Do You Role-play In

We found a fun poll on the forum asking what decade we role-play in. While Toddy doesn’t consider himself as a ‘role-player’ (he admits to not even knowing how), there are bigger things that the question points to. Basically: What year is it in your ‘Little-space?’ Let’s talk about that, and give us your feedback.

This image is a vintage talc powder ad showing a man wearing an adult cloth diaper.

How Difficult Is It To Talk About Diapers

Toddy started a thread on the forum asking abdl’s if they find it difficult to talk with loved-ones about their diapers wearing and abdl proclivities. The answers ran along the entire spectrum! All the way from the shame that minachan16 expressed when when she wrote,

There’s a shame to it that I can’t seem to shake

And it reached to the other Love me, love my dog attitude best expressed by DLdapper when he wrote,

It’s part of who I am, and I am always me, so the world is just gonna have to deal with it.

However, like most things in life, the living takes place somewhere in the middle. And we get some more thoughts that you just must hear.

Modifying Diapers For ABDL’s

On this episode of our podcast for adults who just like diapers we talk about modifying diapers; proclaim that everything is better in diapers; remember a beloved member of the Brady Bunch cast; and much more!

Modifying Diapers

depend-maxAm I the only one that would modify baby diapers in order to get them to fit? When I was a little guy I figured out how to attach two cloth diapers, or two disposable (preferably Pampers, of course) to each other in order to create one diaper that would fit me. I try my best to explain how that worked on this podcast. Of course pictures would help. Gosh! Even drawings would be nice. Alas, I have neither. Just listen and try to follow along :)

Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore

We’re sad to report the passing of Ann B. Davis, who played the wonderful housekeeper/surrogate mother Alice Nelson on the Brady Bunch. I have nothing but the fondest memories of an entire lifetime of enjoying the Brady Bunch, and especially the character of Alice. Sammy and I put together a little something to illustrate how important she was. Rest In Peach, Ann B. Davis.

Everything Is Better In Diapers

My whole life I have found great enjoyment in many things: Amusement parks such as Disneyland; vacations; movies; walks on the beach; cartoons; etc. And one thread runs through each one – a feeling, or thought, really: “You know what would make this great experience even better? If I was wearing a diaper.” Yeah. Things that are awesome would be more awesomer if I just had on a diaper!

QUESTION: What things have you always wished you could do while wearing a diaper? Let us know in the comments.
